2018 Audi A8 Colors
A choice of up to twelve colors are available for the latest Audi A8. The color palette now includes Navarra Blue and Impala Beige that are now available for the first time on the A8. Seville Red, Vesuvius Gray and Terra Gray are the new colors that join the Audi palette. The rest of the colors include Brilliant Black, Florett Silver Metallic, Ibis White, Mythos Black Metallic, Moonlight Blue Metallic, Monsoon Gray Metallic, and Glacier White Metallic. Different colors however vary depending on the model. Furthermore, Audi also offers the option of adding the chrome exterior package that caters for those who want an even more striking visual impact on their model.
2018 Audi A8 Interior Features & Exterior Changes
All fundamental values that the 2018 Audi A8 cherishes are all conveyed on the new A8. Up front, the model comes with a hexagonal single-frame grille that determines all adjoining surfaces and lines and sits low for a confident outlook. Also, it gets an elegant overall impression thanks to the segmented light signature that runs through the headlights.
The same prominence of the front is carried over to the sides where it showcases its sporty demeanor. In particular, its muscular shapes and proportions accentuated are a directed pointers to Audi’s Quattro DNA. Engine Specs & 2018 Audi A8 0-60
According to Audi, the engine lineup under the hood of the A8 are now more fuel efficient and feature the MHEV technology. Buyers will have a choice between a pair of six and eight cylinders and a W-12. These engines have been engineered to offer high efficiency, ample performance, and supreme refinement.
The Audi A8 3.0 TDI V6 turbo engine offers 286 horsepower while the 3.0 TFSI gets even friskier with 340 horsepower. The V8 options on the other hand take the performance a notch higher, with the 4.0 TDI engine developing 435 horsepower and the 4.0 TFSI developing 460 horsepower.
Although set for release later on, the W12 engine will exclusively be offered for the A8L model and is expected to offer a whopping 585 horsepower and 590 pounds of feet.
The Audi A8 0-60 is expected to improve slightly from the current 5.3 seconds thanks to the new technologies in place. Factual figures will be updated as soon as we get hold of them.
The MHEV – mild hybrid electric vehicle that will now feature in all Audi A8 models drives down fuel consumption by as much as 0.3 US gal or 0.7 liters for Euro-spec models. Thanks to this technology, the A8 can now coast along silently within 34.2 to 99.4 mph range.
Expected to debut a few months later, the Audi AL e-tron Quattro will be the brand’s third plug-in hybrid model that will join the already existing Q7 e-tron 3.0 TDI Quattro and the A3 Sportback e-tron. This engine should be able to generate as much as 449 horsepower and 516 pounds feet of torque once it becomes available.
The 2018 A8 L e-tron will be the bran’s plug-in hybrid deluxe, whose hybrid management system takes charge of the electric motor and the combustion engine and optimizes them for both performance and efficiency.
The Audi A8 L e-tron differentiates itself from the regular model thanks to its special wheels and the special daytime running lights. Inside, the MMI touch display and the Audi virtual cockpit inform the driver of all parameters that are crucial in real-time.
2018 Audi A8 Release Date & Pricing
According to various trusted sources, the new 2018 Audi A8 should be expected to hit showrooms sometime in the fall of 2017. As for the prices, the A8 MSRP is expected to start from a figure of around $103,968 and rise to around $107,984 for the A8 L model. This means that the prices have increased by a few thousand dollars over the previous model which sold for $5,000 less.
