The Cayenne, just like its predecessors, is instantly recognizable. And the 2018 updates only serve to heighten its unmistakable identity. Dimensions wise, it measures 4,918mm in length, 1,983mm in width, and 1,712mm in height. The wheelbase stands at 2,895mm. As can be seen, the vehicle’s height has reduced by nine millimeters, the wheelbase has remained the same, and the length has increased by a whopping 63mm. The result is an elegant and streamlined car.
Up front, the vehicle features a slightly pronounced bonnet, upgraded LED headlights with 3-D light modules, outward-pointing lateral trim strips, and trademark large air intakes.
Unlike other Porsche Cayenne trims, the Cayenne Turbo stands apart thanks to new aesthetics. Some of these include enlarged air intakes, and matte and high-gloss black surfaces. Moreover, the double-row front light modules set it apart at night.
The car’s side profile is also distinct. The door side trims and exterior mirrors are finished in the vehicle color. Also, the colored Porsche crest and wheel arch extensions emblazon the 21-inch brightly polished Cayenne Turbo wheels in dark titanium. Additionally, the side profile also features standard white brake calipers.
Cayenne Turbo exterior color options include Black, Jet Black, Carrara White, Carmine Red, Mahogany, Moonlight Blue, Meteor Gray, Palladium, Rhodium Silver, Purpite Metallic, Sapphire Blue, and White.
Beneath the hood, the new 2018 Cayenne comes equipped with powerful and efficient engines. These combine with the new 8-speed Tiptronic S to spontaneously convert the driver’s desires into best-in-class performance. Add this to the excellent driving dynamics, lightweight chassis construction, and sports car genes and you’ve got yourself an expectation-surpassing vehicle.
The Porsche Cayenne Turbo 2018 comes equipped with a stonking 4.0L eight-cylinder twin-turbocharged engine capable of generating an output rated at a whopping 550 horsepower and 770Nm of torque. With such a generous output, the Cayenne Turbo should be able to accelerate from 0-60mph in just 4.1 seconds, 3.9 seconds with the Sports Chrono optional package. The top speed is 177mph.
With the blistering speed comes safety concerns. But the vehicle being a Porsche, safety should be the least of your concerns as the vehicle comes equipped with a smorgasbord of appealing features.
